2020 England v West Indies, Lord’s
England play West Indies in their 3rd & final Test match at Lord’s, from 25th-29th June 2020.
The last time these teams met at Lord’s England secured an easy 9 wicket victory in the final Test of the series. Evenly poised at one test all the home of cricket played host to a special fixture.
West Indies batted first however only managed 123 after a superb spell from Ben Stokes returning figures of 14.3 – 22 – 6. England’s batters did not fair much better amassing 194 all out in response. Ben Stokes once again leading from the front with 60.
On a bowler friendly wicket, it was unsurprising that James Anderson came to the party with figures of 20.1 -42 – 7 restricting the West Indies to 177 and a small 2nd innings lead. Chasing 106 for the win then opener Mark Stoneman and Tom Westley got over the line with 9 wickets still in the hutch.

England play Pakistan in their 1st Test match at Lord’s, from 30th July – 3rd Aug 2020.
Pakistan’s recent Test form at Lord’s has been positive with three wins out of the last five fixtures. This exciting outfit will come into the Test fully confident that they can outplay England over the five days. The ICC World Test Championships will be in full swing and over a three match series a maximum of 120 points will be up for grabs.
For England a tough winter in New Zealand and South Africa will either make or break this young squad who are in a state of redevelopment. The summer of 2020 will be hugely important for this group of players as they build for the Ashes down under.

The Hundred is coming to a cricket ground near you in the Summer of 2020.
Innovative, exciting, explosive, uncharted, rebellion, all words to describe the English answer to the T20, a game developed by the Brits but which has become a global phenomenon.
This new innovative game is positioned to be inclusive, aimed at the younger generation of non-cricketers aiming to inspire the next Ben Stokes or Jofra Archer to take up this global game. This is highlighted in two ways, firstly the tournament will be played throughout June and July to allow the greatest amount of families to attend and secondly will be free to air on the BBC making the new competition accessible to those who are unable to attend live games.
The Hundred will be played across 7 cities, with 8 franchises of both men & women. Birmingham, Cardiff, Leeds, London (two teams), Manchester, Nottingham and Southampton.
