2021 England v Pakistan T20, Headingley
England will host Pakistan in the shortest but the most explosive format of the game in a three game series, a repeat of the behind closed doors series in Manchester in 2020. That series was a 1-1 draw, so it will be interesting to see if the two teams make squad and tactical changes to try and get the win in 2021.
The 2020 series concluded with a thrilling last ball opportunity to salvage a win for England but unfortunately Pakistan were too good in the third and final game to secure the draw.
Both teams will be pumped up for an exciting T20 series where individual brilliance can be enough to win on the day.

2021 England v Pakistan T20, Headingley
2021 England v Pakistan T20, Headingley – England will host Pakistan in the shortest but most explosive format of the game in a three game series, a repeat of the behind closed doors series at Old Trafford in 2020. That series was a 1-1 draw, so it will be interesting to see if the two teams make squad and tactical changes to try and get the win in 2021.
Headingley will host the second match of the series, their first ever England international T20 match so this will be an occasion not to miss in Leeds. The ground is historically known for favouring bowlers as its been conducive to swing bowlers, however in more recent times the batters have prospered as the ball has had less of an effect. Albeit a different format, this was highlighted when Ben Stokes rewrote the record books this summer vs Australia scoring a sensational 135 not out on the last day of the 4th Ashes test in 2019 to overhaul 362/9. A result that will live long in the memory of all Loiners.
England v Pakistan T20 series in 2020 was fascinating after a first game wash out. England took the series lead with a 5 wicket win lead by captain Eoin Morgan whose 66 runs off 33 balls catapulted the run chase, Pakistan’s target of 194. Support from Bairstow (44) and Malan (54) was key as well as economic bowling from Mahmood and Rashid, the latter taking two of the 4 wickets.
Pakistan however had their revenge a few days later by the narrowest of margins in a final game thriller. The visitors batted first again, posting a similar score of 190 but this time some brilliant bowling from Shaheen Afridi and Wahab Riaz managed to hold off the surge from the England attack. Moeen Ali gave England a chance with a great knock of 61 from 33, but the spotlight was on Tom Curran in the final few balls. He scored a 6 in the penultimate ball to give England a slim chance of stealing the victory, needing another 6 from the last ball, but unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be and the series was drawn.
