    Ireland v England, Event history

Last time these two teams met in Ireland, England pulled off arguably the most impressive victory of the Eddie Jones era. England ran in four tries to inflict Ireland’s first Six Nations defeat in Dublin for six years. Eddie’s team led 17-10 at half-time with tries from Jonny May and the impressive Elliot Daly and they could easily have been further ahead. Their defence outstanding, their tactical kicking precise and the back three rock-solid under the high ball. Henry Slade added two more opportunistic tries in the second period to see the game off. Ireland put away World Champions New Zealand in an unbeaten autumn. However their dream of consecutive Grand Slams came crashing down under a thunderous English assault.

    2021 Ireland v England

What an opportunity for a new look Ireland under new head coach Andy Farrell to set down a marker to the rest of World Rugby. Ireland after missing out once again on an opportunity to reach the semis will be desperate to right the wrongs of 2019, as well as the 18-7 English victory at Twickenham in 2020 in the Autumn Nations Cup.
