Experience the Monaco Grand Prix at Circuit de Monaco with unprecedented access with Engage. The circuit has been called ‘an exceptional location of glamour & prestige’ and held annually on the last weekend in May since 1929. Unfortunately the event was cancelled in 2020 due to covid-19, so we are expecting a significant amount of interest for this premium experience.
Widely considered to be one of the most important and prestigious automobile races in the world, it’s one of the races, along with Indianapolis 500 and the 24 hours of Le Mans which forms the Triple Crown of Motorsport. As of 2018 Graham Hill is the only driver to have won the Triple Crown, by winning all three races. The practice session for Monaco overlaps with that for the Indianapolis 500, and the races themselves sometimes clash. As the two races take place on opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean and form part of different championships, it is difficult for one driver to compete effectively in both during his career. Juan Pablo Montoya and Fernando Alonso are the only active drivers to have won two of the three events.
The third fastest-ever qualifying lap was set by Max Verstappen in qualifying (Q2) for the 2019 Grand Prix, at 1m 10.618. The second fastest-ever qualifying lap was set by Valtteri Bottas in qualifying (Q3) for the 2019 Grand Prix, at 1m 10.252. The fastest-ever qualifying lap was set by Lewis Hamilton in qualifying (Q3) for the 2019 Grand Prix, at 1m 10.166. Five-time Formula One World Champion, Briton Lewis Hamilton holds the records for the all-time most career points, all-time most pole positions and the most grand slams in a season. Racing for Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton has won the Monaco Grand Prix in 2016 and 2019, and racing for McLaren-Mercedes in 2008.
