Can England retain the Currie Cup after falling to Scotland in the 2021 Six Nations tournament, losing 11-6?

Scotland v England have been playing each other at rugby union since 1871 when Scotland beat England in the first ever rugby union international. Scotland and England played the first ever International rugby match in 1871. They have now contested a total of 139 rugby test matches against each other. England have won 76 of those matches, whilst Scotland have won 44 matches. There have also been 19 drawn matches between the two nations.
Apart from fixtures played in the Home Nations / Five Nations / Six Nations Championship competitions, two games have been played at the Rugby World Cup in 1991 and 2011, in both of which England were victorious. The sides also met in 1971 in a match to commemorate the centenary of the first match between the sides, with Scotland winning.
Scotland v England compete for the Calcutta Cup which has been the trophy for the annual fixture between the teams since 1879 and is currently played for in the Guinness Six Nations. Scotland won the Calcutta Cup by a timid score of 11-6 in the first game of the 2021 Six Nations tournament.
Scotland won the Calcutta Cup following an uninspiring 11-6 draw against England during the 2021 Championship. The 150th anniversary between the two sides was a big talking point prior to the match, as well as Scotland having not won at Twickenham for 38 years. This England performance was littered with penalties and allowed Scotland to dictate the pace and play at their level. Finn Russell was man of the match despite a sin bin in the first half, who added two penalties in a memorable test for the Scots.
England never really recovered from this terrible attacking display and ultimately lead a disappointing tournament, whilst Scotland faltered against Ireland and Wales by narrow margins.
