Chelsea Flower Show 2020
Held annually in the grounds of Chelsea Hospital, London, since 1913, the Chelsea Flower Show is Britain’s most prestigious flower show.
Chelsea Flower Show, World-renowned, glamorous and quintessentially British, RHS Chelsea is a truly unique and unforgettable day out!
As always Chelsea wouldn’t be Chelsea without the worlds best designers, florists, growers and nurserymen alongside a multitude of fresh emerging talent. 2020 will be no different however Chelsea Flower Show, will have a new garden category!
The new category will focus on Urban Gardens, the feature will be located along Royal Hospital Way. These will be a perfect reflection of urban landscapes from around the world and demonstrate how a modest space can be transformed into a captivating garden. They replace last year’s Space to Grow category, which also focused on how to make a smaller space look amazing.
Elsewhere the focus on Floristry at Chelsea Flower Show is revenge a face lift in 2020 with its own dedicated space to celebrate the talents of the industry. There will be platforms for 3D installations of varying sizes and smaller display windows, which will all be judged. Arrangements will be entered in four categories to reflect the current themes of plant health and care for the environment.
Chelsea Flower Show will as always offer the home gardener fantastic insights into trends to green up their house. A trend which is still going strong and will be allowed to grow further in the House Plant Studio.
In other Chelsea Flower Show news, CFS gold medal-winning CAMFED garden has now opened at its new permanent home at the world-renowned Eden Project in Cornwall. CAMFED, the Campaign for Female Education, debuted at RHS Chelsea 2019 in May with a spectacular garden design that was functional as well as beautiful. The innovative, climate-conscious CAMFED garden designed by Jilayne Rickards, impressed the judges and visiting public so much that it won a Gold medal and the coveted Peoples choice award for Best Space to Grow Garden.
