The-Hundred, Northern Superchargers will be at home in the setting of Headingley, leeds. Combining the areas of Yorkshire and Durham which are two of the most successful counties of the modern era. The-Hundred, Northern Superchargers will have Darren Lehmann (head coach), Neil Killeen, Craig White and Andrew Gale on the coaching staff. A wealth of experience from Lehmann who played over 27 tests for Australia, scoring 1,798 runs at an average of 45. His ODI record was equally as impressive with 117 ODI’s scoring 3,078 runs at an average of 39. Both Craig White and Andrew Gale had long and distinguished carers for Yorkshire both playing numerous matches for England across both Test and ODI formats.
The-Hundred, Northern Superchargers have chosen Ben Stokes as their England centrally-contracted Test player rejecting Joe Root and Johnny Bairstow who were both local lads. Stokes has proved beyond doubt however that he is the No1 English cricketer across all three formats and all three disciplines. Stokes has a knack of changing the course of a game or even history when he has either the ball or bat in hand and then occasion most recently in the World Cup against South Africa, he pulls of a gravity defying catch that Gordon Banks would have been proud of.
The Superchargers have chosen Aaron Finch, Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman and Chris Lynn as their overseas. Aaron Finch will captain the men’s team and offers a huge amount of experience having played for Australia and multiple Indian Premier League teams since its inception. Chris Lynn (Australia) is a hard hitting middle order batsmen whom again will bring another dimension to this star studded line up. You would have to back at least one of Stokes, Finch or Lynn to get runs for the Superchargers but if either are to fail then local icons Adil Rashid or David Willey will step up with both bat and ball.
The-Hundred, Superchargers Domestic players: Adam Lyth, Richard Gleeson, Ben Foakes, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, David Wiese, Nathan Rimmington, Brydon Carse, Ed Barnard, John Simpson
Come on you Chargers!!!!
